Open documentation →Who is PublishRank built for?
PublishRank is dedicated to news publishers of every size: independent reporters, local outlets, magazines, growing editorial teams, and large news organizations using WordPress.
Is PublishRank fully nonprofit?
Yes. PublishRank is an independent, fully nonprofit project focused on helping publishers rather than generating profit. This is a mission and operating commitment, not a claim of registered charity or tax-exempt status.
Where should I begin?
Start with the installation and setup guide. Back up your site, test changes on staging, confirm one active source of SEO output, and validate representative article pages before a production rollout.
Does PublishRank guarantee rankings or Google News inclusion?
No. Search engines control discovery, indexing, eligibility, and rankings. Good technical configuration helps make content understandable; it does not guarantee search visibility, traffic, or inclusion in Google News.
Can I move from Yoast SEO or Rank Math automatically?
The Migration Center is marked as planned. Do not assume an automatic importer, preview, or rollback tool exists in your installed release. Keep a backup and review the migration roadmap before changing plugins.
Can it support a large archive?
PublishRank is designed with large-site publishing patterns in mind, including cursor-based sitemap processing. Real capacity depends on your hosting, database, other plugins, and release. Benchmark representative workloads and roll out in stages.
Do I need a third-party SEO API for the core?
The project describes its core analysis as WordPress-native and not dependent on an external SEO API. Separately enabled services or integrations should be reviewed for their own configuration and data policies.
Does a high article score mean a story is ready to publish?
No. Recommendations are editorial aids, not substitutes for fact-checking, original reporting, sourcing, author review, or legal review. An editor makes the final publishing decision.
How do I report a problem?
Use the support page to contact the developer. Include the page URL, expected behavior, actual behavior, and safe reproduction steps. Never send passwords, tokens, private reader records, or unpublished material.
